Every man pushing past 25 needs a Dr. Plaman in their corner. Every concern of aging from hair loss prevention, hair restoration, weight loss, Dr. Plaman is there to support, and talk through the tradeoffs/concerns with any decision. I really appreciated his transparency with every conversation, and never feel pressured into any decision. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Plaman and Precision Medical, but let me try. For over 25 years I have known that I was losing my hair - at first distressing to me but then later, maturing for me in a good way. And so for most of that time I had been researching options for transplants, even getting quotes. The thought of traveling to another city (or country) was never really an option but I wanted to figure out what if anything I could do about this. TV documentaries showing how the transplants can go bad made me think I was better off buying a motorboat.

Then Dr. Plaman opened his office. I saw an ad somewhere (not sure where). So I went in for a visit. At first, I thought we would be talking transplants, but he spent a good hour talking about how hair works. I learned a lot about my hair. Alopecia. Some male pattern baldness, but the real culprit was alopecia. He then asked what I was really after. That was surprising - I knew exactly what I wanted: my face to be framed by hair. He then prescribed a series of approaches that could benefit me, all of which I have since implemented. One of them was a transplant, but of not that many follicles.

The procedure was effortless; his staff so supportive. And I was realistic: it takes about a year for the full effects of the transplant to complete. But in the end, it is the best thing I could have done for myself. I wasn't after a pompadour - I was after framing, and at my age, hair is thinning everywhere, so I didn't even want density. I wanted framing and I got it.

Since the procedure I have been taking finasteride and supplements, and later will get the space cap with 'lasers', all of which make me feel like I'm taking care of myself in new ways. The hair grew in. FULL. And balanced, where the thickness of hair is even across the donor area, the planted area, and the other existing/untouched areas. Framing and balanced are two great outcome.

I have contacted Dr. Plaman for the first time when I noticed  my hairline was receding. Dr. Plaman took the time to explain the whole process to me. He didn’t rush into surgery. He advised to start with medical treatment first to improve my pre-op hair amount. After 1 year of medical treatment, and multiple visits to his office, it was time for surgery.

The staff was amazing in explaining all the steps, what to expect and how it is going to be.
Very professional and knowledgeable.

On the day of surgery, the staff and Dr. Plaman took all the time needed to make me feel comfortable. It was a long day, but it went smooth and easy. It was divided into 2 parts, with a break in between. They kept checking on me the whole time. The care after surgery was great. Dr. Plaman is always available for his patients.

It has been 6 months since my transplant surgery and I can’t be happier with the results. I strongly recommend Precision Medical Hair Restoration & Aesthetics. Having my hair transplant done there was the best decision I made in 2023!

After speaking with him I had a better understanding of how hair loss happens and what can be done. I had a new confidence that I could get a healthier head of hair. Dr. Plaman developed a plan for me that he believed would give me the best chance of success. He gave me options and was honest with what I could expect. He explained the process and gave me expectations before ever considering more intensive treatment. This created a lot of trust for me. I have followed the plan he developed for about 6 months now. Dr.Plaman and his team are truly professionals when it comes to hair restoration. I began researching more than a year ago and I thought my only option was to fly out of the country to get a hair transplant, but after seeing the results of an acquaintance of mine I decided to consult with Dr.Plaman. He examined my hair, showed me specific areas and their level of thinning, and drew an outline of what my new potential hairline could look like after surgery.
He was very honest about how much hair should be harvested and transplanted, setting a realistic expectation for the transplant.
We reviewed options for pre meds, transplant dates, and his booklet with instructions that guide you through everything from pre-op to post-op care, and beyond. We also reviewed some photos of previous transplants he had done and the results that followed, and they were great!
By the end of our consultation I knew I’d get my transplant with these guys, so I committed to a date and he prescribed pre meds to get started.
We had a few checks ins and a pre-op appointment, then finally transplant day.
The day of the transplant was great, he and his team only work on 1 transplant a day, so your head has their full attention. You’ll get a lunch break and they let you pick what you’d like to eat, it’s awesome!
They really do put you first from the moment you walk in, the customer service is impeccable!
They provide you with everything you’ll need post op, they call in your prescriptions, and your follow-ups are scheduled right away so you’ve got a plan once you leave. Not once did I ever feel lost or confused as to what I should do at any point during the process.
If you’re serious about finally getting a hair transplant, or utilizing any of the other services that Dr.Plaman and his team provide, stop waiting and call them!
Like any medical procedure or aesthetic treatment, make sure you do your research and are prepared to ask questions regarding your options. As I mentioned above, I did research for more than a year and consulted with doctors in the US and other countries, and had a lot of questions I needed answered before I committed.
